Small Group Strength Training in Toronto

Our Small Group Strength Training program at Toronto Boxing Academy is an 8-week coached strength program designed to help you build strength, learn proper lifting technique, and follow a clear progression in a supportive small group environment.

Why Strength Training Matters

Strength training isn’t just for athletes or experienced lifters.

It’s one of the most important things you can do to:

  • maintain muscle as you age

  • support joint health

  • improve balance and coordination

  • build confidence in movement

  • stay strong for everyday life

But many people avoid weight training because they’re unsure where to start or worry about doing it wrong.

That’s exactly why we created Small Group Strength Training.

What Small Group Strength Training Is

Our Small Group Strength Training program is designed to help you build real, functional strength in a structured and supportive environment.

We focus on the fundamentals:

  • Squat
  • Bench Press
  • Deadlift
  • Overhead Press

This isn’t random workouts or just sweating for the sake of it.

This is structured strength training with a clear progression system.

How The Program Works

8 Week Program

Participants train through a structured 8-week strength training block.

Two Sessions Per Week

Each week includes two coached training sessions.

Small Group Format

Group size is limited to ensure coaching stays focused and personal.

Progressive Strength Training

The program follows a simple progression model so you can improve week to week.

Coaching & Modifications

Exercises can always be modified to suit your experience level, comfort, and mobility.

What Makes This Different

Our Small Group Strength Training program focuses on:

  • learning the main lifts with good technique
  • building strength safely over time
  • avoiding ego lifting or unnecessary injury risk
  • developing confidence with weights
  • creating habits you can carry forward long term

This isn’t about random workouts. It’s about building a foundation of strength.

Who This Program Is For

This program is a great fit if you:

  • want to get stronger but aren’t sure how to structure weight training

  • want coaching and accountability without needing one-on-one personal training

  • prefer a clear plan instead of random workouts

  • want to complement boxing training with strength work

  • want to build strength safely and consistently

No previous lifting experience is required.

What To Expect In Each Session

Each session includes:

Structured Warm-Up

A short warm-up designed to prepare your body for lifting and reinforce good movement patterns.

Main Strength Work

We focus on foundational lifts such as squats, presses, and deadlifts.

Accessory Training

Supporting exercises help improve balance, stability, and overall strength.

Coaching & Feedback

You’ll receive guidance on technique, progression, and modifications as needed.

THE LEVEL SYSTEM

This is what makes the program different.

At the end of 8 weeks, you’ll test your strength and earn a level:

Level 1 – Foundation

Level 2 – Strong

Level 3 – Battle Ready

This gives you:

  • A clear goal
  • A way to track progress
  • Something to work toward
